Been to my school
07.31.04 (3:38 pm)   [edit]
Was to my school yesterday.. alone, .. was visiting an apartment at one end of my school, the playground end.. Memories of games played long back..

I felt sort of incomplete... I need to meet my friends soon...

Also I find that most of my blogging friends who were generating a lot of interest have started losing visitors. Some of them have lost interest to blog.. and most of them have moved because tblog wasnt upto the mark...

I dont find the usual names in the tblurt window.. Time moves on...

All this wants me to move too and I dont know why... Let's see...

Happy Friendship Day on August 1st. :)

Car Accident
07.25.04 (3:34 pm)   [edit]
My cousin, Ramesh was involved in a three car pileup that left his Hyundai Santro crumpled in the front and back. His co-passenger, Rakesh, also a cousin banged his head against the windshield cracking it in the process.. (He wasnt wearing his seatbelt).

The incident happened when a Toyota Qualis travelling at the lead braked suddenly to avoid a collision with an AutoRickshaw.. Ramesh braked hard and some milliseconds later, another guy in a Ford Ikon, travelling at around 60 mph slammed into them and this impact caused the santro to slam into the qualis.

I was asleep when this incident happened and my cousin woke me up by ringing me awake. By the time I arrived at the scene, the police had arrived.

A lot of legal action followed and fortunately, no one was injured in this freak accident other than the vehicles involved.

Bad times..

Spider Man 2 - Review
07.24.04 (12:15 pm)   [edit]
All set to make a big impact on the big screen. Spiderman 2 rocks! Filled with more thrills and emotional complexity, it makes for a good two hours...

This time, its more of an emotional drama than a fully fledged action flick with Peter Parker(Toby Maguire) torn between his love for Mary Jane (Kirsten Durnst), as a super hero and his job at a local pizzeria.

Parker has convinced himself that a superhero cannot have a girlfriend or wife because his foes could harm her. Tired of her efforts to woo Parker, Mary Jane, who is trying to establish herself as an actress, gets a new boyfriend, astronaut John Jameson (Daniel Gillies), who is also the son of pulp newspaper editor J Jonah Jameson (J K Simmons).

In the mean time, Harry Osbourn (James Franco) broods over his father's death at the hands of Spiderman and seeks revenge.

Dr. Otto Octavius (Alfred Mollina) is a scientist and an accident changes him to the crazed villain 'Doc Ock' and the rest of the story is spidey fighting it out to save the city.

There are also some comic scenes thrown in by Sam Raimi (Director) and all this makes for some good viewing. If you saw and enjoyed Spiderman, then Spiderman 2 is a must see!

I got Gmail now!!
07.07.04 (4:05 pm)   [edit]
I got to use gmail and it is very user friendly I tell you.

The interface is clean and neat. The use of labels instead of the usual folders has added more functionality, it is possible to give more than one label to the same mail.. thus if an email comes under two or more categories, you can easily add two labels, thus making searching the email an easier task...

And 1 GB of space!! Gmail sure rocks!!

Regards...
